Taking m4dRADIO on the road
On Monday 14 September, our bright pink and blue m4dRADIO AdVan took to the streets of London to spread the word.
After making its way past some of the capital’s best-known landmarks, the Music for Dementia team visited care homes across South and West London, meeting residents and care teams, handing out m4dRADIO goodies and helping more people discover the service.
We want everyone who could benefit from m4dRADIO - people living with dementia, families, friends and professionals supporting them - to know that it’s here, and that it’s completely free to use.
Why DAB matters
m4dRADIO was created specifically for people living with dementia and those who support them.
It provides familiar music 24 hours a day, completely free, with no adverts, chat, news or interruptions.
For people across South and West London, listening can now be as simple as switching on a DAB radio and finding m4dRADIO.
Our new DAB service broadcasts the m4dRADIO MIX channel, bringing together familiar favourites from the 1940s through to the 1980s as well as special singalongs and ready-made activity playlists.
Online listeners to m4dRADIO.com can also choose from five dedicated decade channels covering the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
